The RonBoni is a home made ice surfacing machine made by Ron Z. of the Syracuse Speedskating Club, the name a takeoff on the creator and the ubiquitous commercial Zamboni. It’s a great device for resurfacing a speed skating oval after the track deteriorates. It’s far easier than the “5 gallon bucket and squeegee” method and can be made with some low cost parts and a bit of welding.
The following plans are a work in progress and are being refined as time permits. Note the date stamp at the bottom left of the textual document and the bottom right of the diagrams will be updated as changes are posted.
